What behind the formula one steering wheel
在一级方程式赛车的方向盘后面都有些什么呢

because Renault kindly make this thing a beauty.
雷诺用心的将这个东西做很漂亮
A high-tech formula one steering wheel worthes tens of thousands of pounds.
一个高科技的一级方程式赛车方向盘价值数万英镑

And I want to take you through it.
我来给大家讲一讲它

Because it's so complext.
因为它很复杂

and this is what the job is, playing around with all the time when they are on track.
在赛道上你需要一直不断的操控它

where the job is grabbing the wheel like this.
你需要像这样抓住方向盘

there are the ones your can easily get to.
你很容易就可以按到这些按钮

and the most common ones are all the round in that window.
常用的这些按钮是在这个窗口周围

So, cenario, it on a Renault engine, the energy usage from the batteries in a hybrid engine
这里cenario,是调整混合动力引擎的电池能量的

as same as the struct in a Mercedes engine, Ferrari, probably other hundreds as well.

But if you are changing this, for example for query mode

you switch this to say cenario 8

have maximum full speed for one lap, full deployment

and then for a race, you make sure it's consistant

so what you are using, you are getting back throughout that lap,

and that would be a different setting, back to 6 for example

then let's talk about the other toggles up here.

so these are more intricate settings in the car,the tools,

this is the engine braking

the brake, this is the brake shape.

and then the entry, this is differential as well as ......

there are the finetuning tools around the lap

and the job is we will be playing around these all the time,

mainly in the practice sections to finetune it

but then even around the lap

they will be just changing these,

that's why they in the such crucial part of the steering wheel.

then pit is ... PIT是...

RW is rear wing,
RW是尾翼

DRS, this is crucial, three times a lap now to help us overtaking.

Recharge, this is at the end of qulifying lap, you want to try to regenerate as much energy as you can for the next lap

as soon as you switch recharge on, and your batteries in fully hybrid mode, trying to get maximum energy for the next time lap

and this missle, overtake, this is when you just want to find the last bit of performance to get around on someone

R for the radio, that's pretty simple.

then the rest of these, as they go down, they are going less and less used

but the job is got to know everything on it.

there are so much going on, especially all those knobs in the middle.

more on the back, the brake bar changes, more tweaks

and it just something when you are in the middle of a race,

you get to be thinking as well about what you are doing ahead.

because it can really change setup of your car,
